I was introduced to basic scrapbooking in the late 1990s. I went to a home party, bought a lot of stuff, and never used it. Eventually I gave all my supplies to my daughter-in-law. Then my daughter-in-law took me to a scrap-booking store last December. My! How scrapping has changed! I took classes at Mystic Paper and have been totally hooked ever since. It has taken over my life. I don’t think I will live long enough to do everything I want!

I have lots of teaching experience. I taught first and second grade for 6 years. I taught decorative tole painting for over 10 years. Now I am going to teach scrapping, or as I prefer to call it, altered art. Come join me at Mystic Paper's new digs! Such a warm, pleasant atmosphere in which to immerse yourself! I will be teaching classes on a regular basis there.

Recently I have submitted my work for publication. I have had the honor of having two cards published in the Spring 2006 issue of Stamper's Sampler Take Ten. A collage I created for Legacy magazine will be published in their August/September 2006 issue. The collage is titled "Lilly". I continue to submit my work on an ongoing basis to Somerset Studio's publications.

Michael Putman
Michael Putman is an actor, photographer, illustrator, and a mixed media artist. He has been teaching art techniques and skills to children and adults for over 15 years. He recently gave up the Seattle rain and green for the Arizona sun and dry. A collector of ephemera, circus relics, and any odd and strange curio he can find! He believes that altered art more than any other artistic medium allows us all to free the artist that we have always known was inside.  It allows us to freely create outside the lines and interpret the world we have discovered. The more skills you possess and learn, the richer your storytelling becomes.
 See you in class….

  Renee Savage
I have loved art since I could hold a crayon and have been involved in art's many forms all of my life. I live to draw, paint, collage, scrapbook, and alter! Imoved to Arizona from the San Francisco Bay Area in June and am thrilled to continue designing and teaching in the Phoenix area.
I have designed for 7 Gypsies, C&T Publishing, My Daughter's Wish, and am currently working with Sweet Bella.
My work is being published in the October/November 2007 issue of Somerset Memories.

I love teaching and strive to help others discover and nurture their own creativity while refining their skills and boosting their self esteem.
Creativity and play are powerful processes which can delight, heal and inspire the mind, body and spirit. Facilitating these processes
through teaching arts and crafts is my life-long journey and passion. In turn I find joy in helping others and sharing my love of art.
I am looking foward to making new friends and creating with all of you!
