This is the perfect workshop for those of you who want to venture into dimensional soldering. This class is great for both beginners and those of you who want to add some additional techniques to your soldering skill set. You will create a soldered box out of 2 pieces glass (one cut and one bevel), copper tape, dimensional objects, and ephemera. You will learn basic soldering techniques, how to cut glass down to size, attach jump rings, and explore different collage elements that can be applied to this project. Throughout the workshop we will discuss an array of soldering tools and supplies and how to apply them to a variety soldered projects. Soldered dimensional boxes are a great way to display keepsakes, vintage ephemera, photos, and found objects. Once you get the basics down each box you make will tell it's own unique story! They can be worn as jewelry, used as ornaments or make for the perfect gift.

In this workshop each of you will alter the "Wonders Of Nature" Little Golden Book into a beautiful scrapbook or journal about the 'masterpieces' in your life. We will be playing with lots of different mediums and Basic Grey's beautiful "Periphery" line of paper.
We will be hand sewing a new binding for our books as well. If you would like to complete your journal in class please bring 18-20 black and white or sepia toned photos or images.
Or you can add them at home. I will provide the images (not the photos:) seen in the book!

Get into the Halloween spirit with us as we sculpt a vintage style Skeleton on a paper mache box. The basics of working with paper clay will be explained and students will learn about armature construction, and how to apply their sculpting skills to create other whimsical concoctions. If time allows, students will paint and finish their creation in class, if not, instructions will be given so that students can finish painting their finished work on their own. Each student will also receive an instructional booklet with photos that outline the sculpting process. This booklet will be the student's to keep for future reference.

to age & distress.
This journal is full of many techiniques and as usual we will be getting a little messy. It is packed
with fleur de lis stamps, die cuts, ribbons, charms, and images. Everything shown in the journal will
be provided in your kits.

Vintage European masquerade balls are the theme for this mixed media project. We will create a 6x6 mini book housed in its own box with a coordinating hand mask. This is a project that's perfect for display and will definitely be an inspiration for the season's upcoming masquerade events.
Opulent fabrics & trims, vintage beads and extravagant feathers all in rich colors are just some of the elements used to create this project. You'll learn lots of techniques using some of my favorite products including Glimmer Mist, Distress Ink, embossing powder, vintage glass glitter and even some jewelry making. Each kit will also include an exclusive, hand-made mini masquerade charm. Masquerade images will be provided or you can use your own.
Photo sizes used are 5x5" maximum.
